Case History:  June Freeman
A young woman called me the other day, asking for a tarot reading to know if it was possible to be free of a romantic attachment. She had been making steps in that direction, but there were still some financial matters that involved their having connections with each other.  She also spoke about a mother whom she took care of, and about whom she was constantly worried.

She had called me via Skype and I was therefore shuffling the tarot cards for her as she looked on.  Remarkably, the layout showed five major Arcana. For those in the know, having one in your tarot reading shows a spiritual influence; having five in this tarot reading  indicated to me that this was a remarkably important time in her life, both from a spiritual and secular perspective
The entire tarot card reading pointed to a new time in her life, which included letting go, (Hanged Man) jumping off a cliff into the unknown (The Fool).  And the Justice Card, which has evolved to me to mean either the completion of karma or finishing up of it.”  It is an exciting card within a tarot reading. What it told was that she was truly ready to let go of her past and continue into the future unfettered by a relationship.  In her environment, it showed that she was a caretaker and that this was the karma that she had a chance to free herself of.   What the cards also revealed was that this man had oppressed her by his controlling ways as shown by the Hierophant which depicts an oppressive male figure.  So we find two controlling elements in this woman, one as a caretaker and one as somebody whom this man has made unfair demands upon.  I asked her if she was ready to free herself of these demands. She stated that this was her intention.
In our lives there are times when the energy is so large for us to free ourselves in a radical and conscious way of some pattern within us that has bedeviled us. I don’t use the word “devil” lightly because in some ways, I feel that the Devil card speaks of a way in which we are chained.  When the Devil card appears, it is time to take a bite out of that karma. While she did not have the Devil Card in her reading, the preponderance of Major Arcana pointed to the same idea because what is our life about but being free of our karma and proceeding on our path to wholeness. In the end, I encouraged her to take advantage of this spiritually advantageous time  It is a time when the gods and goddesses are smiling down upon you and want nothing more than to be encouraged  to jump unfettered into the unknown.
I received a wonderful thank you the night after the reading where she was amazed that the cards could so readily tune into her. I feel when that happens it indicates the person is ready to transform something in her life and is not just feeling overwhelmed and victimized by her situation.
