The difference between psychic versus intuitive:
If you were to see a psychic you would just say, “When am I going to meet the man or woman of my dreams?" If you were to see an intuitive, you would say, “What do I need to do to meet the man or woman of my dreams?" and when you ask that, you are essentially opening yourself to that possibility. You are choosing to take responsibility for that request to manifest. More importantly, you become willing to open yourself then to being "seen" by somebody else, and that’s when the intuitive can do her work. You are inviting me to to see inside you what blocks or obstacles in your life may exist. My motto has always been that I do not enter a door that is closed. A "psychic" does not always have that awareness.
When I studied gestalt therapy at Esalen Institute in the 70’s under the co-founder Dick Price, it was a departure from traditional analytical therapy where you would talk for years about your relationships with your parents and there was mostly focus on the past. With gestalt therapy and an intuitive reading, you enter the present and attend to what is happening now. This moment of course has roots in the past, but all of your past and present are available at this moment for viewing with your permission. Tthe main difference between a psychic reading and an intuitive reading is that you acquiesce to being seen and exercise power over whether you wish to release or sustain that which stands between you and what you desire in this life. It is where my training as a gestalt therapist is invoked. As you allow me to "see" you, where you are stuck, you then have the choice of releasing some extraordinary energy that can be used to enhance your life. I like to see myself as the facilitator and collaborator of a wonderful journey to your self.
